Portraits

Either before the wedding or after, we take a few minutes for the formal, posed portraits. This is our time to shine. First we take the group shots, and when we're finished, we spend about 10 minutes with the bride & groom to get those magical moments. During the formal group session, we spend as little time as possible, but enough to get all the important shots. We don't want guests watching the clock, waiting for the photos to be finished. It helps if everyone who is supposed to take photos, knows when & where they are supposed to be. Then, we can start and run through the portrait session and let them get to the reception!

Another alternative, which is becoming the new trend, is doing all the portraits before the wedding. When the couples are willing to do this, it saves a lot of time on the wedding day. Everyone who is in the photos shows up about an hour or so before the wedding, we do the portraits, and relax for a few minutes until the ceremony. Then, after the wedding, no one has to wait for the pictures. However, many traditional couples prefer not to see each other before the ceremony, and we definitely respect that! Either way, you choose, we'll create great portraits!

We are experts at lighting in all conditions. We know how to create the perfect image, with the perfect mood. Expressions are key to a great portrait! Experience has taught us when those moments are going to happen & we're ready to capture them.
